After today’s staff meeting, that other job is sounding a lot more attractive.

Lots of cleaning today as we get ready to vacate our home of the last four months. It’s all a little bittersweet.

I have been doing this “I’m-on-sabbatical” thing since mid-August. I go home (“back to normal”) on December 19. While I am excited to be back in my own home, I am not ready for all of the “not-on-sabbatical” stuff that will go along with being home again.

Córdoba. Such a fascinating mix of Roman, Muslim, Jewish, and Christian styles! It was so interesting to see these ideas juxtaposed and cross-pollinated.

I guess I just don’t have much to say these days.

In other news: the semester is almost over (one more week)! Then, some time off before even more time off due to next semester’s sabbatical.

A rainy, chilly day in San Francisco. Still, I managed to get some cool shots of the Gomden Gate Bridge before it got too wet or cold.

Grades submitted! So far, I haven’t received any angry or questioning emails about said posted grades. :)

iA’s new presentation software idea is intriguing. I am excited to get my hands on it and see how it works.

Before bed last night I thought, “I am going to workout tomorrow.” Now that “tomorrow” is “today,” I am not so sure any more.

Yay for being consistent about something.

Last night’s concert didn’t go as well as I had hoped. But, I also didn’t prep very well, so it’s no big surprise.

I have tried to make Mastodon work for me. Multiple times. But every instance I’ve joined feels so hostile and vitriolic. Never mind that it just feels like shouting into a dark void since I don’t have any “friends” there. Why is the internet like this?

We ended up buying two new cars this week. “When it rains it pours.”

So much rain, today.

I visited Pennsylvania for the first time last week. In fact, this was the first time had been anywhere with the kind of fall foliage I have seen in photos of New England and other “autumny” places. ‘Twas beautiful!
